Initially, our customer noticed some fungal growth on the exterior of their home coming out of the slab. They first thought they had a leak in their shower. After reaching out to us at Pegasus Leak Detection, we determined their shower in fact did not leak, however, they did have a leak in their hot water pipes underneath the slab. After we determined what pipe the leak was in, we were able to pinpoint exactly where the leak was. The leak was located just underneath the corner of their shower dam. Mold can grow as quickly as 24 – 48 hours under the right conditions. Hot water line leaks expedite the growth of mold and our customer unfortunately had to deal with some of it, luckily it was only on the exterior of their home. Water did start to make its way to the surface as shown in the photos.
